What’s a misting system?
The misting system is a device that lowers the ambient temperature to suit individual and specific cooling needs. In addition to providing optimum comfort in unbearably hot weather, it acts as an air conditioner for outdoor spaces. In this way, it reduces or even eliminates the risk of dehydration.
The misting system consists of brass nozzles and a hose. It diffuses a light mist containing fine water droplets. On contact with the air, the micro-droplets evaporate and ingest the calories present. The result is a pleasant, fresh atmosphere.
Installation is simple: simply connect it to a tap and it will cool your surroundings. You then attach the misting system to your pergola or terrace to enjoy the misting effect. It’s particularly popular for its unrivalled performance.

How do you install a misting system in your garden?
A misting system requires a minimum of maintenance: purging the circuits before winter, dismantling and cleaning the nozzles and draining the unit.
The sine qua none condition for the installation of your misting system hose is to have a water supply where you want to install it. They are delivered with a polyethylene hose that acts as a water conductor. This is fitted with a spigot for connection. Installation requires quick-release clamps and fixing hooks.
How does a misting system hose work?
In general, misting systems are easy to use. Some models are wheeled or free-standing. Others, like outdoor misting systems, are fixed to the roof. The latter are usually supplied with delivery hooks. They connect directly to a garden hose or water supply, or via a reservoir to be filled.
The way a misting system works may vary according to the model chosen. However, the principle remains the same, whatever misting system you choose. The device is fitted with a nozzle that enables it to be connected to a water source. Water flows through the nozzles, forming small droplets that are projected to regulate the temperature where the misting system is installed.
In effect, a heat exchange takes place during which the air bubbles absorb the calories generated by the heat and evaporate: this is evaporative cooling. As soon as the water evaporates, the intensity of the heat is no longer felt.
How much does a misting system hose consume?
This system is ultra-economical thanks to the high pressure generated, the existing nozzles and the misting programmers. In other words, the timer, which makes it easier to regulate the amount of water coming out of the nozzles from the ignition valve.
This system is one of the most economical on the market in terms of consumption: water: 2 l of water/buse/hour – energy: 0.25 KW/hour.
