Introducing the misting system for terraces

When the weather is scorching, it’s very difficult to enjoy the terrace without suffocating, even in the shade of an umbrella. The most effective and environmentally-friendly form of outdoor air conditioning is a misting system for the terrace.

What is a misting system and what is it used for?

The principle is simple:
– A control box is usually installed outside the house (this box contains a pump, a solenoid valve, and sometimes sensors to measure air humidity. There’s also a programmable timer).
– Connect the box to the power supply and garden hose
– If possible, we install nozzle ramps above the terrace, close to the garden furniture (it is also possible to install these nozzles at gutter level).

On hot days, mist is generated to humidify the air and soften the atmosphere. This makes for a pleasantly cool feeling, and allows us to enjoy our terrace even in the middle of the afternoon.

There are different types of misting system for terraces: nozzle line, double nozzle line, single nozzle… Depending on price and surface area, you’ll find the system that’s right for you.

Installation is generally straightforward, with the main difficulty being the finishing touches (fixing the handrails and control box).

The misting system can be installed by the company offering the misting systems, usually for a flat-rate installation fee.
