Water misting system
Water misting system
To cope with a difficult summer, when the heat sometimes reaches unbearable temperatures, the water misting system is an essential tool. Installed outside, ideally on a terrace, it creates a sensation of coolness, continuously or intermittently, so you can enjoy the outdoors all summer long.
How does a misting system work?
The misting system is a device that attaches directly to a garden hose. Located high up, it is activated to transform the initial water jet into very fine particles of water, which create an invigorating and refreshing effect without the sensation of being wet.
The misting system is placed several meters away from the area for which it is intended – usually six or ten meters – so as to create a cloud of water particles that refreshes the entire terrace.
How to adjust your misting system?
Although cooling is made possible by extremely fine particles, these can still wet the elements of your terrace if they are sent out for too long. What’s more, to avoid your terrace feeling like a rainforest, it’s not necessary to create a continuous mist.
To avoid these inconveniences, a timer can be installed upstream of the misting system. Once configured, this small element enables the misting system to be triggered intermittently. The number of seconds between two triggers is adjustable, as is the triggering time. In this way, you can keep your terrace cool all summer long without having to water it all the time. The misting system is therefore the ideal summer ally, helping to regulate the temperature of your terrace and eliminate the feeling of heat and suffocation.
