outdoor misting system for tennis courts
The outdoor misting system: the safety trump card for your courts!
Tennis players and women often hate cold weather and fickle conditions. But the sun is far more dangerous for athletes and spectators alike. So how do you deal with the heatwave when it arrives? The town of Blois has come up with a solution!
The dangers of heat!
In June, the tennis courts at AAJ Blois could reach 36 degrees in the shade. While fine weather is more pleasant for outdoor sports, too much heat is dangerous. Five athletes had to abandon the tournament! Even professionals can succumb. It’s important to remember to drink enough water to avoid dehydration and the muscular damage that high temperatures can cause, especially as the heat makes the pitches harder and more slippery.
Hot days for the ball boys!
The same was true of the forty young ball boys, who were much more fragile. Twelve of them were unable to complete their task. We can only salute the event’s medical organization, which did its best to warn its teams with crushed ice and light missions.
Spectators pampered with … an outdoor misting system!
As for the spectators, caps, bright T-shirts and sunglasses just wouldn’t do! A stroke of genius: the village installed an outdoor misting system. This outdoor fan is unique in that it sprays a humid mist made up of small droplets of water in several directions. This solution helped to cool down the many spectators who came to watch the tennis tournament!
When it’s time for barbecues, summer parties and big outdoor events, think of the misting system to avoid the dangers of the sun.
